Carnival raises wifi pricing

Normally cruise lines raise their fees in the quiet months of December and January. This year, however, Carnival Cruise Line quietly increased the cost of all three of its WiFi packages at the end of October for 2026 sailings… the changes appeared in guests’ online accounts without any announcement.

The Social plan rose from $18.70 per day to $20.40, a 9.1 percent increase. The Value plan went from $22.10 to $23.80, a 7.7 percent increase. The Premium plan jumped from $23.80 to $25.50 per day, a 7.1 percent increase.

Because Carnival didn’t notify passengers ahead of time, many lost the chance to lock in the older, cheaper prices. And since WiFi bought onboard is even more expensive than the pre-cruise rate, the quiet hike hits last-minute planners hardest.

Let this be a reminder to book your necessary wifi early!
