Craig Chee & Sarah Maisel

Craig Chee, originally from Oahu, Hawaii, developed his 'ukulele skills on the mainland U.S. A graduate of the University of Oregon, he has studied under notable artists like Jake Shimabukuro and Troy Fernandez. Craig is renowned for his energetic and versatile performances across various music genres.

Sarah Maisel, hailing from Alabama, discovered the 'ukulele while working in San Diego, California. Inspired by jazz and Hawaiian music legends such as Lyle Ritz, Benny Chong, and Byron Yasui, she quickly became a sought-after performer and instructor at 'ukulele festivals worldwide.

Married in 2015, Craig and Sarah have combined their talents to make a significant impact on the 'ukulele community. They have been featured at festivals and events globally, including in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Hawaii, and across the continental United States. Both have had the honor of appearing on the cover of 'Ukulele Magazine.

Their passion for teaching led to the establishment of an online 'ukulele school with ArtistWorks in 2016. In 2018, they launched monthly livestream workshops, initially for their students, which later became publicly accessible, further sharing their love for the instrument. In 2020, they pioneered online 'ukulele festivals, such as the "Not So Mini Fest," fostering global community engagement and support.

Relocating to Hawaii in 2020, they organized and hosted the 51st Ukulele Festival Hawaii in 2021, including three virtual mini-events leading up to the main festival. They also initiated the Backyard Concert Series, spotlighting local musicians. Their monthly livestreams continue to inspire and educate 'ukulele enthusiasts worldwide.

In 2023, Craig and Sarah founded the nonprofit organization Four Strings at a Time, dedicated to engaging, educating, and enriching lives globally through music and the 'ukulele.
