Virgin Cruises add new pricing tiers

Cruising with Virgin Voyages has always been about bold experiences, incredible dining, and plenty of included perks. But starting October 7, 2025, Virgin is shaking things up with a brand-new pricing structure called VoyageFair Choices.

Instead of one “all-in” fare, Sailors will now have the option to choose between three different tiers: Base, Essential, and Premium. Each tier still includes Virgin’s signature dining, entertainment, and luxury touches—but they vary when it comes to flexibility, Wi-Fi, and extra perks.

What Are the New Tiers?

Base
The most budget-friendly option. You’ll still enjoy Virgin’s core experience, but with fewer perks and less booking flexibility.

Essential
The middle option—and the one that will feel most familiar. Essential matches Virgin’s current pricing and inclusions, so it’s basically “business as usual” if you’ve sailed with them before.

Premium
The top tier, priced $45 (per Sailor, per day) more than current fares. Premium comes with extra perks like:

  • Premium Wi-Fi

  • Early access to dining reservations

  • Bar Tab credit included

  • Greater booking flexibility

What About Gratuities?

Some Sailors worried this change might mean gratuities are being added on—but don’t worry. Gratuities are still included. Virgin is just breaking them out as a line item on bills moving forward. This is all about transparency and meeting California’s requirements as Virgin expands to the West Coast.

Deposits and Final Payments

To secure your chosen tier, a 20% deposit will be required at booking. Final payment is due by the end of August 2025 for sailings impacted by this change.

Why This Matters

This move gives travelers more control over what they want from their cruise experience. Whether you’re looking for the best possible price, the same familiar fare you know, or the extra flexibility and perks of Premium, Virgin now lets you tailor the package to your needs.
